Domestic Products Exhibition Opens In NE Afghan Province

KABUL, July 10 (Xinhua) -- A three-day exhibition featuring domestic products opened Thursday in Afghanistan's northeastern Badakhshan province, the provincial department of industry and commerce said on Friday.

The exhibition includes 60 booths displaying women's handicrafts, agricultural products and other locally made goods. The event was aimed at promoting local production and supporting small businesses.

Participants said such exhibitions help introduce domestic products to a wider audience and create opportunities for women entrepreneurs to expand their markets.

Visitors to the exhibition urged people to buy domestic products instead of imported goods, saying such events can help strengthen local industries and improve the livelihoods of producers in Badakhshan.
