Int'l Observers Record No Violations During State Duma Elections In Moscow

MOSCOW, Sept 21 (NNN-Sputnik/RIA Novosti) -- A delegation from the Economic, Social and Environmental Council of the Central African Republic did not observe any violations during the State Duma elections in Moscow, delegation representative Alfred Tainga Poloko said on Monday.

"Our delegation wishes to offer its congratulations and is very pleased to have witnessed the proper conduct of these truly orderly elections. We did not record any violations during our observation," the delegation representative said at a press conference.

He added that international observers also welcomed the participation of a large number of young people in the electoral process, noting that this reflects strong patriotism and a sense of civic duty among the country's population.

Elections to the lower house of the Russian parliament, along with other concurrent elections, took place in Russia from September 18-20. Russian President Vladimir Putin has called the parliamentary elections the most important domestic political event.
