GMO GlobalSign Expands TLS Connect by GMO Availability, Bringing CLM Automation to Small and Medium Enterprises in APAC and the Middle East

SINGAPORE, Aug 18 (Bernama) -- GMO GlobalSign, Inc., a global Certificate Authority, today announced the availability of TLS Connect by GMO to businesses in the Asia Pacific and Middle Eastern markets. First introduced in April for customers in the West, TLS Connect is a Certificate Lifecycle Management (CLM) tool designed specifically for small and medium enterprises (SMEs). TLS Connect automates public trust TLS certificate deployment and renewal, allowing SMEs to strengthen security, maintain regulatory compliance and reduce business risk. The offering from GMO GlobalSign fills a critical need in the CLM market: SMEs that rely on TLS certificates but lack in-house Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) expertise, or a straightforward way to implement a CLM solution.

TLS Connect by GMO availability is a significant development for companies adjusting to a series of global TLS certificate lifespan reductions. Per the April 2025 vote at the Certificate Authority/Browser Forum (CA/B), the first TLS certificate reduction occurred on March 15, 2026 – dropping lifespans from 398 to 200 days. Another “drop” to 100-day validity occurs March 15, 2027. When the final reduction takes place on March 15, 2029, the lifespan of TLS certificates will be 47 days.
