Russian Finance Ministry Offers Support To Businesses Hit By Attacks On Wildberries

MOSCOW, Aug 24 (NNN-Sputnik/RIA Novosti) -- The Russian Finance Ministry unveiled measures on Monday to support businesses affected by Ukrainian drone attacks on RVB Group facilities (the combined Wildberries & Russ company), reported Sputnik/RIA Novosti.

"The Finance Ministry has prepared support measures for businesses affected by Ukrainian drone attacks on RVB Group facilities, as well as measures to preserve the functioning of the company itself. The relevant resolutions have been submitted to the government," the ministry said in a statement.

The marketplace and businesses that suffered losses exceeding 5 per cent of annual income will receive tax and insurance premium deferrals.

In early August, Deputy Finance Minister Alexey Sazanov said that a government working group was considering various support measures for businesses affected by Ukrainian attacks on Wildberries warehouses.

In recent weeks, Ukrainian drones have struck Wildberries facilities in the city of Stavropol, the Moscow region, St. Petersburg, the city of Krasnodar, the city of Simferopol, the city of Volgograd, the Republic of Udmurtia, as well as the Leningrad, Tambov, Penza, Samara and Vladimir regions. Several people have been killed and dozens wounded. The Russian Investigative Committee has opened criminal cases on terrorism charges.
