FIFA World Cup Generated Over US$18 Bln For US Economy - Trump

WASHINGTON, Sept 5 (NNN-Sputnik/RIA Novosti) -- The FIFA World Cup has generated over US$18 billion for the economy of the United States and supported over 160,000 jobs, US President Donald Trump said on Friday.

"The FIFA World Cup alone generated more than 18 BILLION DOLLARS for our Economy and supported more than 160,000 JOBS!" Trump wrote on Truth Social, reported Sputnik/RIA Novosti.

The US, Mexico and Canada hosted the World Cup from June 11 to July 19.
